i got a new 35 hex tank that im setting up for tiger legged monkey tree frogs and red eyed tree frogs any ideas of what should i put in it terrarium wise i wanna do lik a lil pond at the bottom, plants and stuff
I just did a 35g hex tank for my gray tree frogs. I put a prebuilt waterfall in mine instead of building my own waterfall. I also put in a raised lagoon, I wanted multiple water features considering I was putting 4 frogs in there.
Are you intending to mix species after asking for advice on mixing species and then everyone telling you that it is a bad idea? Red eyes need height and humidity, tiger legs need low arid conditions. With my experience with a 35 gal hex tank, you cannot accommodate both of their climate and spacial needs. Not to mention, stressing your frogs out by forcing them to share a small space with a different species and the toxins they will present to each other, slowly killing each other.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
ok thanks well the reason i said those 2 was because a friend of mine has both of them together and there doing fine but i guess its not the smartest idea but now i know i really shouldnt.....what did you use for bedding and stuff if you dont mind me asking?
Which tigerleg, Phyllomedusa azurea, P. hypochondrialis, or P. tomopterna?
lol yea about that haha not sure im goin to the reptile show on sunday and i was browsing on the comp to see what im interested in,also ive been talkin to 2 of my friends with frogs and i reallly liked the 2 frogs i stated above but most of all i want the red eyed leaf frog i just dont know a nice way to set up my tank and exactly what to use for them.
