Wow, where to start. I have a few life times of experiences and nothing short of a bus load of tales :-)
I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania.
I started working at an early age... painting pickets on houses for a relatives business at 8, then into traveling with a carnival at 11. I grew up fast since most of my new found friends were 18 and older when I was so young. The carnival job was with my dad's friends business and that hung on for three summers until I started working for an amusement park for the summer and a gas station job in the winter.
I eventually took on a job as a union inductive brazer and arc welder for a large corporation right out of high school.
After a few years I decided I needed to straighten up and I joined the U.S. Navy Submarine force which turned into a real career. I retired from the service at 18 1/2 years due to back problems and now work for a U.S. made firearms manufacturer in sales and technical support. I am currently living in New Hampshire.
I have seen a lot of the world, from places such as Turkey and Israel, to most of the countries around South America. Visited Norway, lived in Scotland, lived in Japan, and spent some time in and out of Puerto Rice and the Virgin Islands.
Definitely miss the traveling but then again, many places were on an old sailors visit and bars and chasing women were usually the nightly plan.
I have experience in saltwater reef and fish tanks, kept moray eels, kept ball pythons Florida water snakes, Uromastyx, and Leopard Geckos in the past.
I only recently found my way back into the herp world when we decided to buy a Whites Tree Frog, and then a companion, and then two more. We then added some Red Eyed Leaf Frogs and a Flamed Crested Gecko. This has now led me to the dart side which will gradually overtake my soul.
My present hobbies are hi-end audio equipment, drums, bicycling, and frogs frogs frogs.
My big goal is to finally retire and settle down in Puerto Rico.
Hope this is a good beginning and please don't drag me on Jerry Springer!

Oh, theres so much more I can't think of it all at one time... worked in the comic book industry with Wizard Magazine. Gave up comics after I divorced my 1st wife and had to give her half of the 28K my collection was worth or sell it and give her half... hmmmm wonder how she spent the 300 bucks she got. Lost interest after that.
Worked for AOL when they had only 50,000 customers. Studied computer forensics and information assurance. SANS information security degree but never renewed it after the 1st year. To much money and daily dedication to keep up the degree in a field I wasn't working in.
Worked in Japan for Denon, Teac, DBX, and Accuphase electronic companies as a rep.
Jack of all trades, master of none here. Can add in mechanic and auto body repair, electrical wiring, roofing, landscaping, and carpentry to name a few.
Man I'm getting old.

Wow Don, that's a heck of a lot of life right there. Thanks for sharing! You're more open than I am - if Lilypad dropped that MOTW thing on me I'd run for the hills.
