So Chunk has been doing well. He seems to be content in his setup and has been eating a little more than he was when I first got him. He eats about 1-2 crickets per day on average. About a month ago, I fed him his first pinkie. He ate it first try, no problem. Unfortunately, for the past week, I've tried several times to feed him a pinkie with no success. He'll eat mealworms from forceps but just won't eat the damn pinkie (also in forceps). I'd really like to be able to get him to eat the pinkie as I will be going away for a few days and I can be sure he's full. I just don't know what the problem is???
Maybe he just isn't hungry? Or he doesn't like them. If you're worried about him being hungry while you are gone just leave some crickets in his tank with an orange cube or something to munch on.
Nothing to worry about. Mine eats the occasional pinky but mainly eats crickets. Sometimes though, he'll decide he doesn't like one of the crickets. I can leave it in the cage for a week, and he'll eat a dozen or more others while refusing that one. They're just moody I think
I agree, a couple crickets with an orange cube should be fine for a few days.
Try to not feed him a couple a days then try the pinike it should work
