hi i now have 33 pacman frogs of different species, some are calling some arnt but the ones who are calling because they all live in dark tubs i cant tell, is there anyother way of telling sexes. most of them are between stage 4 and 5 and id like to ty breed them
cheers ady
The males tend to have darker throats, and sometimes you can notice the skin is looser there. The females tend to have lighter throats.
I have heard that males tend to have shorter, steeper noses, while females have longer, more pointed ones. I don't know how well that holds true, but it seems to be the case on my little cranwelli.
You could also look for the dark pads on male feet during breeding season, or just compare the size of two mature frogs of the same species. Females are larger.
Not sure if it will help, but I have a caresheet on our website that I have photos of our frogs to assist in sexing them. They are C. cranwelli and are similar to all Horned Frogs.

Hope it helps!
