I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a jar of calcium powder. It has expired but is it still okay to use? Is it like most things where it's still okay just maybe not as effective?

I had a jar of expired calcium powder once and I still used it. However, as you said, it was not as effective and I had to increase the doses. My frogs didn't seem to become sick from the old powder, but I wouldn't use the expired powder for long.
I am pretty sure that it is the vitamin d part that expires. I would get new stuff. I know with people, expired vitamins can hurt more than help, not sure the reasoning though.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
Calcium does not expire. Vitamins do though.
