Well...I may be aquiring 2 new tree frogs...one is a White's tree frog and the other is a cuban tree frog. Here's my problem..the woman I am buying them off of have them living together and they have been living together since she got them. My question is, should I seperate them when I get them or would the move and them seperation stress them out more?
Separate definitely.
I concur.
They are probably stressed living together as it is it would probably alleviate some stress to separate them. Do you have an extra tank to situate one in?
Not yet.
ooh what size tank do you already have?
Well I have 2 empty 10 gallon tanks that I could hook together and I also haave a all netting type cage.
Today I found out that the lady I am getting them from has all of her amphibians and reptiles together in one tank.Makes me mad that people do things like that.
Anyway she sent me some pictures...

Is it just me, or does that white's look a little skinny?
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
It's obviously a juvenile, and it looks just fine. I can't see any hip or bone protrusions. I think, that's how they look in the wild, that's how my juvenile looks.
I think keepers tend to worry unless there frog looks kinda overweight.
It's interesting to compare wild specimens to captive ones, weightwise.
I would get the Whites Tree Frog treated for parasites, and maybe the Cuban to if you can afford it. But the White Probably contracted a few from the wild Cuban.
From what I have been told they are both 1 1/2 years old. The Whites does look kinda skinny. When I get them I will for sure get the Whites tested for parasites...once I find a good vet.
Thanks
