    Default Nightcrawlers

I live in Canada and my back yard is full on Nightcrawlers. Can I feed them to my pacman frog?

You can, but the thing is, you have to worry about parasites, fertilizers, and pesticides. I bought some from walmart when I got them, those are supposed to be safe! You could always buy a batch and breed them yourself too, it's actually REALLY easy.

Here is a link you can read up on it - Raising and Culturing Earthworms

My brother breeds his own for fishing and it is quite simple, don't let the article scare you, they make it seem a little harder than it is.

It should be fine as long as you haven't used fertilizers or pesticides around your yard. We used to catch hundreds of nightcrawlers from my parents' yard and feed them to our fishes and frogs with no ill effects.

Anyone know where walmart get their worms from? I have a cousin that told me they used to pickup nightcrawlers off the street and yards after heavy rain to sell to distributor in Michigan.

If you read DMF's about section (Walmart's supplier) it sound like that's exactly what they do!!

    DMF Bait Our History

I guess you might as well just get it from your backyard! Sucks too because they market them for pets as well as bait!
