Don't release them! Not only is it against the law, its wrong.

You could take them to a reptile rescue or have you considered taking them to a local pet shop? Most pet stores will either purchase them from you or take them if you want to just give them up.

I see 10 reptile pet stores in Pasadena, California. Have you tried contacting one of them?

Contact your local herp society. Most herp societies have rescue/adoption programs. Check our links page, if you can't it there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

    WARNING RANT TO FOLLOW.
Under NO circumstances should you ever realease an animal into the wild. It is illegal and immoral. To do so is introduce a possible invasive species and bring the law down on all of our heads. Irresponible people who do this, cause lawmakers to take away our rights to keep animals other than domesticated stock such as cats, dogs, horses, etc. Its the reason there are restrictive laws preventing us from keeping certain species, because some idiot can't be responsible and do the right thing. Instead they want to take the easy way out and just let it go. Its not fair to the animal in question, to the enviroment, or responsible pet owners. Its the reason why I think keeping exotics is NOT a God-given right for everyone.

So do us all a favor and don't do it!

You could probably sell them pretty easily if you wanted but if you're in a hurry to get rid of them do as Kurt just suggested.
