I have 2 treefrogs (at least) in my yard in birmingham, al. i have been hearing them and i finally located both of them today. i could only get a picture of one (below) i believe they are from some tadpoles that i brought home with some pond plants a little over a month ago. below are pictures of the tadpoles.
would i be correct in assuming that these are h chrysoscelis? i might be able to capture some audio if it might help. just curious to know what they are.
thanks!
Definitely h. chrysoscelis or h. versicolor. Either way, they require the same care! The only way you could tell the difference is by their trills, this site has both so you can tell the difference Gray Treefrog - North Carolina
