I have a few little toadlets in a terrarium with a coco fiber substrate and a water dish that I dig out a spot for and then refill in the coco fiber so its easy for them to get in and out of. cause of this they drag the substrate into the water dish so within minutes of taking it out and washing it out and putting it back and reburying it and refilling it its dirty again. If I use a paper towel or sponge to absorb the remaining water I can also use it to wipe the coco fiber out. then all I have to do is refill it.

question is, is there chemicals in paper towels or any/all sponges that could be harmful? Or is this method safe for someone as lazy as me? anyone else do this type of method for cleaning out the water dish?
