I usually give my tree frog a large cricket each night and alternate with meal worms. She is looking overweight at the sides, like her belly is looking much larger than it was before. She doesn't have any hanging over her eyes, so her brow area looks fine. What is the best indicator for an overweight frog? and how much should I feed her and is it okay for her to go without food one day out of the week?
I've had her for over a year.
Thanks,
Easternwolf
Many people don't feed their frogs everyday. The biggest thing is you don't want them so fat they stop moving around. As long as he is active and hunts normally you're doing okay. When he becomes a blob and stops moving around ...don't feed him as much and trim him down.
