Over the past day and a half as I have looked at him his eyes seem to be closed every time I look. They seem maybe a little bit more damp than usual, but I can't tell if there is something wrong or if I have just been coming in while he's sleeping. I am on my phone right now but I will hopefull post a picture later today. Until then, does anyone have any ideas?
Here is the picture...
Its hard to tell from the picture. Is there anyway you can take him to a herp vet and have him checked out?
I am going to call the pet store and see if they can take a look at him first...just because that is free, and then ill see where I should go from there.
I doubt the pet store will be able to tell you anything because usually they just sell the animals. They will probably refer you to a vet. My advice is to call a herp vet and tell them what's going on, they may want you to bring the frog in. I hope everything is okay with your little froggie.
I know the one guy who works there pretty well. He is the amphibian/reptile expert, and he has a bunch of frogs himself. I am hoping to find out when he is working
If it never opens its eye but opens the other then there's something wrong with that eye. If it never opens both eyes, it could be suffering a number of problems, it's very hard to tell. Is it eating? If it's not eating, I would head to the vet. Remember these frogs are not active during the day and are hard to wake up during the day.
