    Default MY frogs

Hi. I'm Jeanie. My husband and I have 3 whites tree frog's. My husband has always had a facination with frogs, it's contagious. One of my frogs has got a couple of white patches on it. Anyone know what's going on there? My third one is always brown, not green. The guy at the pet store said it was cold. NOT. It's in with the others at over 80 degrees. Plus I can take it out and put it in my hands. It still stays brown. What's with that? I would appreciate any help. I'm a newbie and can use all the help I can get. THX in advance, Jeanie

    Welcome to the forum.

The white patches sound like a fungal or bacterial infection. Do you have a picture?

    Hello Jeanie,

Congrats on your 3 White's and Welcome to the Forum! We are glad to have you with us.

Many White's Tree frogs can have white "freckles" on their bodies, they are nothing to be concerned about and very common. If you can take a picture of your frogs and post for us it will also help us to see if it might be something more than just "freckles".

FrogForum - White's Tree Frog Care check out the Care Article if you haven't already. The typical daytime temperature should be 80F and at night 68-75F. The humidity level should be around 70%. This can vary slightly among White's, so you may need to adjust to find Your frogs "Happy Spot" .
This can be a reason why yours are turning brown if they are not happy with the current temp. and humidity levels. And depending on how long you have had them. If they are new frogs they will need time to adjust to their new home and feel comfortable. You could also post some pictures of your frog enclosure so we can see how you have it set up.

    Again Welcome!

    ~Lesley

Please post some photos so we can make a better assessment of what's going on with that frog. Based on the description alone I'm learning toward the patches being normal.
