Finally saying hello and Thank You!

Unfortunately, I'm too wordy to begin with. Secondly, my introduction to frogs, or rather, tadpoles (now frogs) started in May. Between having my hands full with a house, toddler, and the tadpoles (which I was new to and wanted to take care of properly), I've only really been lurking and gleaning as much info as I can. I've put off introductions because I'm at the point where this post could be pages long with the story and various questions . So I do apologize in advance.

Also, and most importantly, thank you all for your articles and contributions. They've been a great help, and this place has given me more education than anywhere else. I definitely wouldn't have undertaken raising tadpoles, and now froglets, without you.

Now I have to decide where to start!

Welcome!!!! Feel free to post as many questions as you have. I'm sure many here were sick of me my first few weeks, but they were always helpful!!

At the moment, I have 4 of what I *think* are gray tree frogs, and about 20 more tadpoles of the same. I was so sure at first, but the more I researched, the more I started to wonder. Usually the only tadpoles that appear at my dad's house are toads, but this year 4 or 5 of the grays came poolside to serenade. We never saw females or eggs, and believe me, I checked all the time, lol. It was kind of funny to watch them call for 2 or 3 hours and then pack it up for the night. One night they only called for 30 minutes. There were quite a few spring peepers singing in a swampy area a few streets over, but we never heard them at dad's. I have a few pics that I'll post when I figure it out. Unfortunately all I have is my phone and 2 point and shoots, and out of *hundreds* of shutter clicks, there are precious few that are remotely clear.

This is truely a great Forum, and the members are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I know how it is being busy with a toddler ect...and your kids will even learn and enjoy the frogs as well. We would love to see pics as your frogs develop!
