Default Is my frog eating enough?

I've been reading posts on here with people talking about how much their frogs eat at a time, and I'm starting to wonder if mine is eating enough. When I got him, he was about quarter sized and would only eat one large cricket every two days (wouldn't take the smaller ones). Had him about two months now, and he has more than doubled in size and fits nicely in the palm of my hand, but is still only eating 2-3 large crickets a day.
Just wondering if this was normal, since I've heard people talking about frogs of similar size eating way more at a time than he does.

I say as long as he's growing and happy and healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. I imagine frogs are like people - some people eat at a Chinese buffet until they explode, and some people (me) eat about four bites of food and call it a day.

Mine will eat about 2-3 crickets a day, or stuff his fat little face with everything I put in and not eat for a few days. I think he's ok.

My frogs did eat much more than yours at that size and still do, but they have also become monstrous and recently, rather fat creatures. It may have something to do with the climate that you have your frog in. The temp is really important for proper digestion and there fore they have a bigger appetite. Humidity is also important, but is more for healthy skin and hydration. In the wild they will eat very little during the cooler months because they are cold blooded, and there is less blood flow to the digestive system along with the obvious lack of energy. They begin to eat like crazy in the summer, and its always summer in my frogs tank! If your tank temp is around 80 to 84F, then you might just have a frog that isn't a hog like all my big eaters. That might be better for your wallet though!

Thanks everybody. Ironically, right after I posted this I dangled a pinky meant for my snake into his cage saying "you won't eat this will you, cause you're stubborn" and he jumped and ate it... His temps aren't quite at 85, but where we live his tank gets to about 80 during the day, so adding any extra heat source makes it WAY too hot. I think he might just be a bit of a picky eater.

LMAO! I admire creatures who are as stubborn and spiteful as I am. Your frog has officially earned my admiration.
