Hey, im from michigan. I dont have a frog or toad yet but hope to soon. Anyone know what kind i should get that will be easy/cheap to care for? I plan on making a tank with a 20 gallon aquarium and putting like a 4 inch tall peice of glass across the middle and putting water in one half and making the other half like an island.

Fire Bellied Toads (Bombina orientalis) are great frogs. They will utilize land and water areas, feed easily, are active and attractive. To add the that, they are inexpensive. Look for care sheets on other sites, but they are relatively simple. Add some hiding places on the land area and you'll be all set.

You can also try pacman frogs (aka ornate horned frogs). They are easy to take care of.
