Need help

I just got my red fire belly toad yesterday . and i put some cricets in there and it has not ate none of them..... what do i do...
how many times am i sopose to feed him in a day .... week

Fist don't panic ... Frogs can naturally be quite nervy and take some time to settle in. Your new Fire Belly may be feeling a little out of place and not into eating at the moment. I recently got a new toad and it was 3 days before he took anything as he was rather nervous and just wanted to hide. Remove the crickets you put in and start over again tomorrow or maybe even the day after and try to leave it alone in the peace and quiet. Also what size are the crickets? it may be that they were a little bit to large for it, i go for food no wider than the space between the eyes if i can help it or as wide as the head as a maximum.

I feed mine every other day - as much as they can eat in about 5 mins, this is usually 4-6 2nd or 3rd shed crickets in my Toads case but it can vary on their mood. Some times they eat like they are bottom less pits.

Let us know how your fire belly does, once they've settled in they become really bold with great appetites.
