Last night before I went to bed i saw this white spot that looked like a little brain. This morning about a half hour ago I looked at it again and it turned brown and changed shape. I looks like it is turning into a mushroom! Is it? and is it something that I should be worried about? Thanks.
Could be.
If it is I usually just pull them but usually its of no consern.
Just means your viv is working as it should :-)

2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
These pics were taken the other day. A few days before I put the red flowers and the plants with the burgundy and green leaves in there to replace a plant that died and to add some more color. The mushroom was not in the viv yet when these were taken. I also have added some branches in there since these were taken. These pics are just the land side of the viv.
Mushrooms and frogs tends to go well together, so I would not worry about. They both thrive in the same sort of envoirment.
Here is what I found a few months ago:
You can simply remove it, if it bothers you.
That looks cool Martin!!! I would keep them around!

Mine does not look like that. it is dark brown, and when I look at it real close it looks like a bunch of tiny strings all bundled up together in layers. I will try to get a good pic. It will be hard to get a good one since it is almost the same color as the substrate. If it is harmless I will keep it.
Here's mine taken a month back. but whenever these guys pop out, they just wont last long haha.

Here is a pick of it from the top, it was the only angle that I could get.
Very nice. I rarely see large fungi in my terrariums but I've seen mushrooms once or twice. You never know what spores are floating around in the air or in the substrate you use.
