Would it work to use my aquarium top to cover the hex tank for my frogs? It is 3/4 plexiglass with a bend in the middle. I could cover the remaining 1/4 with a metal screen cut out from a hardware store? (I would cover the sharp edges with electrical tape and it would rest in the ledge of the tank), would there be enough air exchange for that to be healthy? I also plan on loading the tank with live plants. Would that help keep the air healthy?
If that would work, I have a great hood light that was brand new when I took my aquarium down, I would just replace the bulb with a blue daylight bulb and that solves having to get a new light fixture!
