Glad he's feeling better! Wow, must have been a tough job getting oral meds into a frog...

Keep us posted on how he's doing!

    Will do!

Getting the laxatives in was quite difficult, the vet gave me a syringe (Without a needle) tjat I had to squirt it in the back of his throat. It takes a while for him to open up and he really doesnt seem to like it but hasn't refused outright or tried to biteso it's going well so far..!

Best of luck, your frog is quite the opposite of mine, he will poop but not eat.

    Thanks guys!

Yes, so happy! I think the impaction was caused by the locusts he had eaten, a lot of un-digested legs sticking out of it. He looks much more alert for passing it thankfully, his movement seems less laboured too. He'll be on worms for a while now I think...

Funny you should say that, i got some tiny locusts for my FBT's as they were the only thing i could pic up from any of the pet shops near me and whilst they were being fed them all i seemed to be finding were bits of leg ... maybe they are difficult for them to digest?I know i shant be using them again in a hurry.

Do earthworms if you're doing worms. Easier to digest.

Yes, going to avoid locusts for a while, annoyingly he much prefers them to crickets, worms and even pinkies but really don't want to risk another impaction! Earthworms it is

I've noticed also my Budgett's having problems passing locusts too, but he is pretty indescriminate about what he likes to eat so shouldn't be too much of a problem to avoid them with him too..

Thank you everybody for your kind words and help! I'm sure my frog appreciates it too!

I'm so glad your froggie is doing better. Maybe you can compromise and find tiny baby locusts?
