Ok...here's the deal....I have a tank that I set up a month ago. No frogs in it yet, but there is a miniature spider in there making these tiny little webs all over the place. I tear it out and its back the next night. I've never seen him but the webs are really small...he's got to be tiny. How do I get rid of him? Or will the frogs do that for me? Should I be worried about it? Thumbnails are going in the tank and they are tiny too. If only I could put my Cobalts in there for an hour they'd make dinner out of his web making butt.![]()
Are you sure it is a spider and not spider mites?
If its a spider, the frogs will take care of it for you. If its that small, its not going to hurt your frogs. It may try, but it will fail.
If there's mites, I'm not sure how to get rid of those. I'm sure there MIGHT be a way. Hahahhahahahhaa
I would just wait up at night with a flashlight until you catch rebuilding the web, then dispose of it.
Spider mites will leave webbies on plants. They seem to get to my jade plant a lot if I have it outside. They aren't easy to track down when they get on it.

It took two days and my spider is gone. Im sure Vinny, my Veradero, made a snack out of him. He's all over the place chasing after anything that moves. I hope he stays this active even after he settles in. He's already calling but she doesn't seem interested...poor guy.
