New Toad Owners

Hi everyone! We are a family of 4 in St. Louis, MO. We attempted to raise some tadpoles for my wife's preschool class unit. However, we did not have much luck and they all died. But since we still had the setup, we decided to try our hand at some frogs. While at a local pet shop, another customer gave us some great advice and told us about this site. We've been using it to inform ourselves on a good species for our family and how to best provide for them. We opted to start with 2 Fire Belly Toads. Our 18 month old daughter named her's Tootie, and I named mine T-Bone. Next weekend, we may get 2 more if these work out. We are very excited about our new friends and we love to watch them play in their new home!

I'm so glad to hear you bumped into one of our members in the petstore and they told you about the site! Congrats on the new Fire-Bellied Toads!

Cute names you came up with too. They will be so fun for your family to watch. Keep us updated on how they are doing, and we'd LOVE to see pics!
