    Default Release

The gray tree frog I caught just sits and sits and sits. He doesn't move unless touched and is never climbing or hiding.
    Should I just release him?

They are nocturnal, during the day they do just sit. 3 of mine like to sit right out in the open and not move. Only 1 likes to hide, and that one is a stressed out spazoid, I'm going to be putting it in its own tank in a quiet room to see if it helps.

They are most active at night. Also, if you don't have thick stable branches that your frog is comfortable hopping around on, it isnt going to try to get on them. What is your temp/humidity like? Is it eating?

I see his little poop. But I also see the two crickets that I've put in for him.
I've just feel guilty about taking him out of his gigantic natural habitat two a little KK (just for now)
I just looked he's still in the same spot and it's dark.

What does his viv look like? Branches? dish of water? plants? hiding places? kept clean? Do you have a picture? What is the temperature? The humidity? What kind of substrate? All that stuff will influence how happy or stressed your frog is. They tend to adjust really well to living in captivity, and in my opinion, are probably safer because there are no more predators after them. You just have to give them the right environment. They also need time to adjust...you haven't even had it a week right? Are the crickets too fast for him? Too big? Too small?

There are soooo many factors to help indicate what is going on. The more details the better

Has got a big dish, three branches two of which have leaves, he's got the coconut stuff that's all fluffy... I mist it twice a day and the temp is 72. Tomorrow will be the one week anniversary.
