I am seeing all kinds of controversy about moss in pacman habitats, whats the verdict? Mine is just a baby, so I'll be supervising durring feeding times but is moss bad for them? should I remove it during feeding times or not put it at all?
I would skip it entirely. Moss is way too easy to get stuffed in their mouth when they're bug hunting, and it doesn't digest well in pacmans.
No moss, its not worth the risk. Eco earth is not that expensive.
I don't have a pac, but I ditched the moss in my tree frog viv. Even after I removed the moss, I was watching her eating and she got a remnant of it in her mouth and couldn't get it out, I had to remove it for her. I will do some short tight LIVE moss in my next viv, but no more of that other stuff.

Your frog can get impacted from eco earth to if they eat to much of it i love to use moss for my adults but if you do use moss take and feed him in a different contaner and feed them i put the moss around the water dish and good for humidity.
I love Moss and have been using it for 7 years for all my Tree frogs with know problems. But I do realise Pacman frogs are more aggressive with eating and may ingest some. I think it does depend on the type of moss you use. I use Sphagnum but cover it with what we call carpet moss or decorative moss. Its kinda like that ready made lawn. It works really well.![]()
yea i use that long fibered kind that s from home depot costs 3 bucks you can use in olants or terriaums thats what is use for adults i wouldnt use it for baby because babys pacs are more robust then adults
