68 is a bit too cold... I usually shoot for 75, 70 at the very lowest. As fir a bulb, you can use one but be sure it is on a dimmer so you don't cook your frog, and be sure to keep an eye out on humidity and mist when necessary.

Its not going to freeze your frog, however it may start to going to a more dormant state and not eat as well. i doubt you want him to do that.

Incandescent lights work, though you will have to monitor the humidity and temps to make sure its not too dry/hot. The frog will need a cool spot. Live plants help with humidity and shade, might want to look into that as well.

Im using a red bulb 40w to heat my tank. I try to keep it at a distance so my frog doesn't dry out but I mist a lot so I don't worry. If possible opt for a fluorescent bulb. Since I have an albino I don't know if the light would bother him.

Oh and heat emitters are very good because they don't put off any light and just heat the area but they are expensive.

They usually work better though in terms of humidity. You could try eat tape, that's usually cheaper than a heating pad

Would the plants be ok under an incandescent bulb?

As long as they don't get too hot or emits too much light to kill the plant I don't see how it could hurt them...
