Earthworms?

No one in my area seems to sell b.dubia roaches, flightless fruit flies, or springtails, would small earthworms be a good alternative food source for my frogs to mix in some variety until I can get a culture going?

Walmart's Night Crawlers (adult and baby) are parasite free, and are safe to use with larger frogs. Many members here have used WNC for extended periods of time, and will tell you they have never had any problems resulting from it.

I am not exactly sure about what size frogs you have atm, but nutritionally, Walmart's Night Crawlers are great! Just make sure they are Walmart Night Cralwers (I think it is something like DMV brand...DM something). Malcolm eats smaller pieces of Night Crawlers, because he gets really freaked out about the entire worm. If you think your frogs are big enough, it should be fine.

I give mine Red Wigglers, they are small enough for the frogs to eat because they are usually small and skinny. PetSmart usually has them, that's where I get mine. If they are too big you can cut them in half and they will still wiggle. Only problem is that the worms will dig down in the the substrate and get away, so you may want to put them in a bowl, although I am sure they can get out of bowls, but it may slow them down. Or you can try feeding with some feeding tweezers, I have to do that with my bronze frogs, they love the tweezers and will even strike at them if they are empty.

3 of mine I've been feeding separately in my critter keeper (on damp paper towels, no substrate) so escaping wouldn't be an issue. Paddy is alone in her tank and she snaps them up so fast, there is no way they could get away lol. Thanks for the info, I will have to pick some up!!
