Hi, my Fire Bellied Toad is making a clicking sound when breathing, anyone know what this is?
Hello cressie, I do not have any fbt but there are a wealth of wonderful nice and helpful ppl on here that do. Someone that had better knowledge then I will hopefully stop by soon.
If I remember correctly the frog that had done this had a respiratory infection.
So to help speed things along when the others see this, answer the questions in this thread and post here with pics of your enclosure and frog.

? Trouble In The Enclosure ?
I hope the best for your little guy. I well look around for that other thread wuth the clicking, I believe it was a white's tree frog that it happened to.

Thanks for that, I hope he hasn't got an infection but I did think that![]()
I also messaged some of the moderators with the link to your thread.
If you have more than one together I would separate the clicking one immediately.
Good luck.

He is separated. Unfortunately, I live on a small island where there are vets who would tell me to stop wasting their time if I took him to them! I think another frog of mine had bloat but lived for quite a few months so I don't really want to have him put down- which is what will probably happen if I take him to the vets.
Hey Cressie vets around here are not very trustworthy either. So my suggestion would be to get in touch with dr frye. Check out this thread, read the first post mainly, it's quite helpful. Good luck. http://www.frogforum.net/showthread.php?p=111209
Btw thy are using de-chlorinated water, and is the cage is vented correct?
