Fire belly toad tank question

Would a UVB reptile light work to grow plants in my fire belly toad tank?

I just use a light bulb that you would put in any ordinary lamp, but to my knowledge a uvb would be ok.

Would just a spiral fluorescent work good to grow plants?

I use one of those small CFL bulbs. Works great. You could also look into those blue reptile "Day" bulbs - they work great for plants as well.
