I was curious as to whether or not, "albinism" traits can show up in natural colorings pf xenopus...what I mean, is if there's ever been a "washed out/pale natural xenopus, from an albino parent x natural/marbled parent?
I saw some pics a couple months ago, with some young reticulated xenopus & in the same batch, were some natural colors, but there were a couple of the natural coloreds, that were VERY pale, as if it was exactly a shade in between albino & natural. It looked extremely pretty & I want to know how to get those from breedings. If I can find the pics again, I will post them...any comments are appreciated. Thanks!
I bred an albino female with a white slightly reticulated male, of the first ten tadpoles to metamorphis six were albino, the rest of the 150 or so froglets where white/gold/yellow with a minority having a darker colouring, i kept two of the darkest as they have lovely dark circles on them like a leopard, sorry no pics.
Hey everyone!! I FOUND the site where I saw the albino/natural frogs....some VERY nice pictures... I believe the babies were from the spawning of a natural male, and a reticulated albino mama. Some of the frogs look "normal", and others look "washed out" or exactly in between albino/natural shading.

I hope to have some "pale" natural frogs show up as well!!! They just look a little different, and very cool! What do you guys think?
