Swollen abdomen on african clawed frog

My female frog scoffed four guppies yesterday and now has a distended belly and is floating and twitching her toes in a way ive never seen her do, ive discounted bloat as its only her stomach thats bloated and impaction as there is only sand in her tank. I have placed her in a bucket with some salt in it as recommended on a couple of sites, is there anything else i can do for her?

Also, for a salt bath - what kind of salt did you use, how much salt, how many gallons of water and for how long did you leave the frog in...


it should also be asked - where did you get guppies from? Were they home raised and quarantined, pet store bought and quarantined or just bought from the store and added in?

She managed to pass whatever was bunging her up, the guppies were homegrown.
