They're safe to use but the the vitamin content degrades over time due to reaction with the oxygen in air, among other things. I usually change mine out every 6 months, no matter what the label says. It's not really necessary but I like the routine.

Oh I should say, the calcium supplement should be good forever. If it has Vitamin D3 in it though, that will likely degrade with time.

I figured as much that the calcium, being a mineral, wouldnt expire, I didnt think about the D3 (which it has) or the vitamins degrading...
have any good recommendations for a good quality vitamin/calcium? I heard rep-cal brand was the best but I figure while im on this subject i should do a bit of research...
