Bleaching a plant and moss

All I did was rinse mine really well, rinsed all the dirt off the roots, took some substrate out of the cage and replanted them with that, and then let them sit for a few days outside the tank before rinsing the leaves again and putting them in the tank. I had no problems arise from that. I'm a bleach hater actually so I didn't want to risk any chance of bleach getting near my frog.
