She's a he?

actually this isn't the first time I've heard sounds from Jade. Last week I heard what sounded like a slight purr sound and tonight we were startled by a loud quack type sound. I checked her/him/it and was on the glass... looked fine, not excited or anything.

Is there a way to check for a release call like you can with toads by touching certain areas of their backs? Would only males make a release call?

edit: I'm adding another call to the list... It's a one off call kind of like a bullfrog call but flatter with less harmonics. I'd have to say with the variety of calls, it's safe to assume Jade is a male. Maybe I have to call him Jake.
