First set up -
Tweaked a bit-
Added some live plants-
She was NOT happy with me for messing around with her habitat AGAIN. So it is going to stay like this for a while even if there are things that need tweaking. She seemed all stressed out tonight. I did all the rearranging before her wake up time though, which was a mistake, I should have done it at a time she could chill out and go back to sleep for a while! I did feed her a few crickets and she ate them all...no surprise there lol. Hopefully she'll settle in soon. I felt bad for messing everything up on her again.
ETA: There are still plastic plants in there. The live plants were bitty yet so they need some time to grow before I can take the plastic ones out. But it is a start!
It looks awesome. My whites tree frog gets very upset when I clean and rearrange so I only do major stuff once a month.
Yeah, there are a few things that I still wanted to move after I got it all done, but I figure I can do it next time she needs her substrate changed and leave her alone for a bit.
I think that is a good idea. Frogger gets mad at me even for once a month changes. But I think it is because his ISO tank is way to small I am hoping with the new one it will be better and an easier transition for him. But your tank is really looking great, mine is still all fake plants but we are working on that.
I have a 50 gallon tank for four frogs. Your looks great. I have branches stones and live plants. But now I am wondering if I shoul redirect my plants upward. They are really growing and consuming half of the bottom of my tank. Thanks for sharing your photos. I think I'll do the same.
There is a vine in the middle in the back, I tied it to the background (just a terrarium mat) to help encourage them to take over that area. Then I put 2 taller plants in there, an african violet, and a fern. Then I have the plastic ones stuck to the side of the tank.
And a question... Do I need to change the substrate completely if I plant my plants directly into it? How do I go about cleaning it? Right now they're in little pots in there to make cleaning easier...but they are already full of roots.
Looking sharp!
