    Default Water Dishes

What does everyone use for water dishes for their pyxie's? I have one that fits in the corner and after watching him last night splash out all of the water I'm think he needs a bigger dish. I've seen those ramps that Petco sells, but wanted to know if anyone has any better suggestions?

I bought the largest size reptile feeding dishes I could find and I use them as water dishes for my Pyxcies. I like the fact that they are fairly deep without worrying about the frogs not being able to touch the bottom, as well as heavy, so when my big galoot is climbing in and out, he doesn't tip it or flip it on himself. They still splash water everywhere, but I change the water every day anyway, and I keep dechlorinated water handy at all times to top up their dishes if need be.

I use a large sandwich/tupperware box (very large). It's deep enough that when it's filled he can just about submerge.

I use the cheap plastic drip pans sold at Wal-Mart for potted plants. These come in a variety of sizes and depths. At 50 cents or less each, After a month I replace them with fresh ones and the used ones go under my houseplants.

Another cheap/free item to use is those plastic microwavable meal trays... that's what I use. I collect black ones for use.

<blushing> Naw, it's just a matter of me being a serious cheapskate. Fancy dishes cut into my whiskey fund!

Dang, that's what I've been doing wrong!! Of course, it's beer rather than whiskey, but that just means more of one for you and more of one for me!!
