Does anyone else have trouble getting their frogs to take food from tongs? Mine loves his crickets, but will only eat them if they are dropped into his tank and left in there for a minute to move around. This isn't a problem right now, but I'm going to be introducing frozen pinkies to his diet soon, and I can't get him to take food from tongs.
Any suggestions?
I have had bad experiences with tongs in the past! First, cranwelli pacs don't usually like to eat from tongs. Ornates have no problem with anything that moves though. The second problem is that if your frog bites the tong itself, it can harm its mouth! When I first got into the pac thing, I used these for a short while. It can destroy your frogs teeth because they aren't made to grip something that hard. it can also damage the roof of its mouth. Tongs are a bloody mess! I have had zero luck on frozen pinkies as well. My baby pac frogs ate live pinkies from my fingers with out complaint. breeding mice is cheaper than buying frozen any way!![]()
It's not any danger to your frog if your tong got rubberedges, right?
Anyway, I just got a fantasy pacman and he just throws himself with open mouth at the tong. Even it it's empty
So it's very easy to feed him that way. But I'm not yet sure if he's gonna get any pinkies when he grows up.
