How do you run your electric cord out of your tank?

Hey guys! I have finally finished building my waterfall in my zoomed 18 x 18 x 24 tank.

I was curious how you guys have ran your electric cords out of your tanks?

I was thinking running a piece of pipe behind my background (great stuff method) thick enough to pull my power cord through (when the pump goes out ect ect).

Is there any better methods?

I use egg crates. I build it large enough so I can access the air circulation pump and wires if needed. And I cover the egg crates with filter sponges in order to pre-filter the water before it gets to the pump, to lengthen it's life expectancy.

I don't bury any electrical cords. I either hide the behind thick foliage or I coat the exposed cord with black silicone and cover it with coco fiber and peat and make it look like a vine. You can hide them in plain sight.

OMG, i literally jumped out of my chair screaming "Why didnt i think of that!!!!!". Thanks your too but cheri hiding in plain site is the greatest idea ever. That makes everything soooo much easier!! woahhhhh thankkkk youuuuu! lol (as you can tell its my first viv build). I love the forum! Great response times, great people, ill be here forever hahahhaa

Thanks guys...you guys are too funny. what Im working on right now is ways to decorate the misting heads. They're sticking down from the ceiling there's got to be a way to disguise them.

mmm as for the mister i have an idea! Remember its just an idea =)

Take a piece of styrofoam and carve it out somewhat like a rock or whatever you like (let your creativity take over haha)

Then use grout to cover it and make it look neat and nice.

This video is a better demonstration that i can type out. Its from AAAfrogs and building their water feature. Maybe try to same method just put your own twist? I dont know! hahaha but check it out!
