Hey guys, so far I've been using spring water for my pacman's tank. I was just wondering if filtered water from the refrigerator can be used. My fridge has one of those filtered water dispenser units.
filtered water is a really good choice, as long as you get it warm before its in contact with the frog! The cold water is not great on any reptiles, oyu know the whole cold blood thing.![]()
ok thanks!
Hey, I know some people do not dechlorinate water from their fridge or tap, but honestly your frog needs you to do that. They will absorb the chlorine through their skin (just like all liquid substrances) and it can harm them. Spring water doesn't have the Chlorine, so you would be introducing it to your Pacman Frog for possibly the first time. You can get a product like Zoomed ("New and Improved") REPTISAFE at your local pet store. This will take out the Chlorine and harmful Chorimines out of your tap.
I highly recomend de-chlorinating any water that comes from the tap, or even a filtered fridge unit (basically anything not spring or other non-chlorinated drinks).
