Ok guys and girls I'm plan on breeding my pacs next year and was wondering where you can buy a rainchamber kit from or give me some tips on how to build one please help I need some tips
I don't know an entire lot about rain chambers, but don't they come in a Huge variety of sizes (like from a 10g tank to the size of your backyard). Maybe it would improve other member's ability to help if you said maybe what size you would be looking for?
Like a 90 quarter tub or a 20 gallon tank
You can often buy rain chamber kits.
A DIY way is to just use a submersible pump/filter with an attached spray bar running across the top of the intended rain chamber. Often spray bars have only one row of holes so more would normally need to be made in the tubing
0.0.2 Ceratophrys cranwelli
0.0.3 Dendrobates azureus
0.0.4 Dendrobates tinctorius "Alanis" (tads)
3.3.0 Epipedobates anthonyi (+tads!)
0.0.1 Lepidobatrachus laevis
0.0.4 Pyllobates terribilis
0.0.3 Ranitomeya imitator "Chazuta"
0.0.3 Ranitomeya vanzolini
0.0.6 Xenopus laevis
Search the internet. There are several examples out there to look at.
I have being searching the internet but I have to get ideas from you because some of you built a rainchamber does pollywog ship to the states because I could buy one of his kits

Most rain chambers are DIY. Everyone has different ideas and requirements for the frogs they are working with. Learn and understand the concepts behind the rain chamber, then design your own DIY chamber.
I just use a 20 gallon tank with 2" of water in the bottom and three aquarium filters that suck up the water and pour it back out simulating rain. I removed the actual filter part of them though so I'm really just using the units for stimulation purposes. I have a small portion of the tank that has large smooth pebbles piled together so they can get mostly out of the water. I also put the under tank heating pad on the side of the tank because the water tends to get a little to hot if under it. Before you go through this, you will need to put them through a cool dry season "winter" for a couple of months. Make sure that they don't dry out to the point of being in danger of dehydration. And cool means 70F. very little food if any should be given to them. I still keep them in separate tanks during the "winter" cause they have tried to eat each other before! After this stage, return them to their normal climate and feed them well for a couple of days. Then put them in the rain chamber and monitor them closely making sure they are breeding not cannibalizing. if you are not watching them then I would separate them.![]()
Thanks for the info i may take that idea are you breeding your pacs i will probably end up with orwells or ornates babys
