    Default Females are honking!

They are obviously not croaking like my males do, but they have started to make a funny and rather pleasant honk went I open the tank, pat the area that they are burrowed under, or pick them up. They seem to be a little less grumpy as well, and no longer squirm or try to remove my fingers when in my hands. If you know what this means, feel free to share!

It's not uncommon for females of frog species in which only the males typically 'call' to make noise when they are disturbed or surprised. They just don't make noise for the hell of it like the males do, and the noises they make are usually more of a short grunt or croak than an actual call.

thanks for the info. did you know that they love music! My frogs are Lil Wayne fans. I say this cuz the only come out and move around when I play some Wayne. I have read that they like female singers' voices but mine aren't interested in that or any other voices besides Rick Ross. They get super aggressive and hungry if I play metal with a ton of dbl base!
