I have several film canisters in my 40 gallon vert setup containing Dendrobates Lamasi 'Orange'. They spend a lot of time in one of them. It contains clear water but has some debris at the bottom. Should I worry about this not only for health reasons but a possible breeding site.
1.2.0 Dendrobates tinctorius 'Azureus'
1.1.0 Dendrobates Lamasi 'Orange'
1.1.0 Dendrobates Ventrimaculatus 'Understory Line'
0.3.0 Dendrobates leucomelas

As always your mileage may vary!
I may or may not know what I'm talking about!
Hey mike, i am new to the hobby but i figured i could at least give my opinion. Hope you do not mind! lol! From all the hours i have spent reading tons upon tons of material (im still yet to get a frog =//) i would guess keeping stagnant water for periods of time could become collection sites for bacteria. Therefore, not an ideal resting spot for your froggies. I would recommend (once again i am a frog noobie) that the water in your film cartridges should be changed regularly. Hope i could be some fuel for thought.
Good luck! =)
