How do you get your frogs to eat insects? My frogs won't touch any thing smaller than a large mouse. They will look at it and turn, but when they see a that its a bug, they won't eat it.![]()
Frogmike, i use tongs for my pacman, he used to do the same thing!
i just put it on the substrate floor, and use them to kinda push the insect towards him, then one it gets close enought he takes it, thats how i do it ne way![]()
Yeah, I posted in your thread, but I can add something here. Mice tend to move around in the same spot. Bugs are more "darty and stoppy". Your Pacman Frogs are probably not going to lunge after a speeding cricket. Likewise, they will probably not lunge at a cricket standing still (Malcolm will not strike a still cricket even if he know it is right in front of him). Bugs take a little more patients.
(edit:
Oops, that is the second time I have posted simaltaniously with another member today. Alot of Pacman Frogs will accpet tong feeding. Mine will not accept the bugs right out of the tongs, but if I push it towards the frog, Malcolm will eat the cricket. Pretty much like what Bruce was saying.![]()
Update:
He FINALLY went today after about 5 warm baths! it was quite a bit too, looked like he was gunna split in half for a bit...but I'm just glad he's ok and continuing to be the gluttonous little guy he is![]()
glad to hear he is ok!
Glad everything sorted its self out.
That is great!! I am so glad!![]()
