I am only saying this for arguments sake so don't take it any other way.

I have a wild caught Grey tree frog, it has been eating wild crickets(etc) all it's life.

So because it now lives in an aquarium that same diet is bad for it?

I think this may be the exception... if you caught the frog in your area and fed it insects from the same area.

I don't know, but I found these large leopard slugs on my porch last month and contemplated putting them in with my frogs... I decided not to.

Very easy. keep them cool, keep them moist, and keep them dark. Feed them left over salad greens. They do the rest of the work for you. I have a rather large colony of gray slugs going strong in my Hyla chrysoscelis enclosure. I have other colonies going in my Ambystoma opacum and Ambystoma maculatum tanks.
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!

I definitely agree, if your critter is NOT from your area you should NEVER feed local insects.
