Hi Andrew,
Our "Toad Basic Care" article, linked on every page of the web site, covers Cane Toads very well. They will benefit from a warm terrarium.
Best wishes,

hey Andrew,
You will tend to find this with bufo marinus, particularly when they are young. When I first got mine I never saw them for the first six months or so! When they are juvenile and small they are very shy creatures and will hide for the majority of the day usually emerging to feed and bathe at night. As peter grows he will become much more confident and will eventually choose to rest during the day in plain sight. I found that mine became somewhat more active during the day as they matured and ive even got them to the point where they will take food from my fingers whenever offered day or night!
Persevere with Peter and he will become a comical and confident pet! hope that helps mate...![]()
where'd ya get one?
