Red face New-ish frog, big problem

it seems i have become a dumping ground for unwanted aquatics at work (not that i mind).. i now have three bettas, all healthy, but all told there has been a total of four bettas, one corrie (someone's betta had shredded all fins from the poor thing and thought i could bring it back to life), countless shrimp and a snail. now i have an african dwarf frog, whom i had agreed to take on about three weeks ago. so far so good.. she had been added to a solitary betta tank on my desk at work.
yesterday i ended up separating the two, as the betta ended up eating the majority of the food and became quite portly. i started to become concerned, since i noticed signs of constipation in the betta and lethargy in the frog. i had a spare 1 galon tank at home that i use as a transition/holding bay for cleaning/water changing days, so i fixed it up with clean gravel and fresh new plants and bamboo, freshly cycled water and a new mini-heater. it's the same water i give to my fish, etc.
cut to this morning, and i notice miss frog is trying to haul herself as far out of the water as she possibly can. she will have nothing to do with her food (HBH frog and tadpole bites, then freeze-dried bloodworms to try and tempt her), then, upon perusing the forums, i turned off the filter and heater (in case it was too hot). i then made the mistake of opening her tank lid and *pop!* out she flies. i catch her before she hits the floor and try to put her back in her tank.. but now she won't leave my hand. i dunk it in the water so she won't dry out, but she clung to me like she was cold (her water was 78, far from cold). i checked and re-checked the plants (after i manage to coax her onto a leaf), they're supposed to be safe for aquatic amphibians. i am at an absolute loss.

all i can think of is this: she was in a 2.5 galon tank with a betta, she is now in a 1 galon tank by herself. is she just lonely? i had been planning on getting her a 2.5 galon tank today along with another ADF, i had just wanted to get her away from the betta, who was showing increasing aggression towards her. thoughts?

Frogs are not social animals, so having a tank mate is not necessary. Also, fish and frogs don't always mix well. It is possible that the Betta was bullying the frog. Once the frog calms down, it will begin to eat, just give it a little time. Repto-Min and Xenopus Express makes a great sinking pellet food for dwarf clawed frogs you might try.
