Default Finding Grey Tree Frogs in Southern Ontario

Hello everyone i am new here and to the world amphibians (as pets). I currently have a tank set up with all the needs for a Grey Tree Frog (moist substrate, combometer, logs, decoration, etc.) however the problem is finding one of the stealthy suckers. I live in Southern Ontario, a small town called Aylmer. Behind my house there is a river that circles the town. There is lots of wildlife as the town is literally a street and the rest is parks/wildlife. I'm sure i can hear them at night but they seem to be on the other side of the river. I've went searching for them for a couple nights now and no luck what so ever. I know they are in the area because my grandfather found one in his backyard on a tree (duh ) not so long ago. I was wondering if anyone has found them in Southern Ontario as well as where they were found (logs, trees, ground) and around what time. Or if anyone has tips for finding them i'll be happy to take them into consideration.

    Thanks everyone!

The best way to find a tree frog is to go out late at night or real early in the morning and search the ground and the side of your house. I used to do this when i went out finding the little old american green tree frogs. Hope I helped!!
