    hello im new to frogs i haven't had any experiance with them . But anyway i have common frog tadpoles (Rana Temporaria) tadpoles and my mum has let me keep them i have 5 i am thinking of keeping two and putting 3 in a pond about 2 mins away from my house . Anyway i need help lenth 20" height 13" (51cm,33cm ) plastic container for them this will be semi-temporary about 4-5 months.

    I am think on putting about 1cm or less of filterd pebbles (rinsed in a filter to make clean).Then compost about 4" (10cm) with two real plant in there and then about half of the container will be water by anothe contanier under the compost so it doesnt come of the soil to much if you understand what im talking about.

    Question1. Will this house them for this amount of time.(the tadpoles are 1.5 " long )(3-4cm)

    Question2.how long until they turn into frog lets (there about 1.5 months old 6 weeks

    Question3.is it alright to use j.arthur bowers tub and basket compost and/or j.arthur bowers ericaceous compost.

    Question4. what plants should i use and they must be easy to look after

    Question5.what is there favourite food

    Question6.if i caught insects (worms,snails,slugs,maggots,woodlice,wasps,bee's, ant's ,moths) is there any i cant feed them.

    Question7. is there anything else i need

    Question8. last Question how can you tell if there male or female

    Hi and welcome to Frog Forum. There is a care article on Leopard Frogs (see menu to the left). It seems that they are similar in habitat and care as the common frog (Rana temporaria). The care sheet will give you some basic information.
