It maybe hard for you, but I find it very easy. The people who breed the majority of horned frogs don't cross ornates and cranwell's anymore. Ornates are more colorful than cranwell's generally speaking. They also grow larger than cranwelli and tend to have better feeding responses. But the most definitive way to easily identify the two species is to look for a spot on the back of each eye. Ornates have them while cranwell's don't. Lastly it's hard to say how willing they are to breed since (I would estimate that) about 90% of the pacmans in the U.S.(or more) are produced in lab type facilities. With the majority of those bred with hormone injections. With hormone injections I'm sure you could get a pacman to hump anything you want it to.
