Hi everyone!!! On my journey to keep a "diary" of sorts, I have uploaded 3 clips of the first 11 tads that are froglets with tails..I'm very excited, as this is the first time I've ever had good luck with raising d frog tadpoles beyond a 2 week period... today, I placed about 14 more froglets with tails (so, about 25 froglets so far) into a temporary spacious setup. Some of them are already eating the frozen/thawed bloodworms!!
I still have about 70 more tads going thru the "developing" of their front arms", and in another day or 2, looks like I'll be removing several more into the "froglet" nursery tank!

I will be taking some more videoclips of the froglets, and Im gonna try to capture them eating, as well! If anyone would like any, now, or later on, just let me know...shipping will be whatever my postal/ups services charge. The froglets, $3.00ea
I now have another 20g setup, gonna try breeding the X. muelleri, the X. clivii (they have 4 claws!); the CO3, and eventually, the X. amieti
Here are 2 new clips, of the first 33 froglets, enjoying their first solid meal of bloodworms!! Enjoy!

awww congrats!!!! great videos!!! looks like you raised some healthy babies!!!
Thanks Jenna! I still am in awe, over how many are changing into froglets, and, to date, STILL, I have had no tadpole deaths, other than the smaller ones I took (to make room in the 20g so the rest could grow) out to feed to the young acfs in another tank.
Im getting a mortar/pestle set next week, and gonna make some homemade tadpole powder using reptomin sticks, and the frog bites, as you suggested!!!
sounds good!!! Right after we get back from the honeymoon I am going to breed a batch...just want to have one going for now but I can't decide which frogs to pair off!
I will probably start a thread with the candidates so to speak and see how the votes go![]()
Here is a clip from last night, of the laevis froglets...they seem to be doing very well so far!!
There are 34 remaining, of the original 90+ that morphed. The majority died when they were in tupperware containers, immediately after morphing... ;o( I learned my lesson the hard way...MORE room, is a necessity, even for froglets!
