I have kept that species for several years. They like high humidity, leaf litter, and a good bit of space. They can become dehydrated rather quickly for a toad. They are somewhat shy but will usually come out at feeding time. They are a "little" more delicate than some other species of toads but not that bad. Yes, the males do spend quite a bit of time calling. Fortunately they are not that loud.

Gorgeous toad - you gonna keep just him or are you planning to get more and maybe a breeding group?

I had one 30 years ago & have wanted another one ever since. I just ordered 2 (after several years of searching) & they will arrive tomorrow. I have never found any that were captive bred & don't know of anyone who has taken this project on. I'd love to try it though. Anyone have any input or interest they'd like to share?
    Thanks,
    Judy
